Dinner For Schmucks, not my favourite Steve Carell movie but can't help but smile whenever I see this guy.
The Switch, featuring probably the most annoying Friends actress and Arrested Development besketenheid icon Jason Bateman. The little fella in this movie rules.
"It doesn't really matter how my day has turned out, I always end up living in this world of doubt". Listen to Bad Religion.

Last weekend, I was the brokest guy at this luxury lifestyle event.
Jewelry, interior decoration, golf club resort travel agents, ...they wanted you to see.
What I saw was old guys - a crutch on the left, a phat-assed black girl on the right, gelkop yuppies with multi-salary watches, champagne addicted desperate housewives...
.be celeb ranking: Els Tibau (omfg) / Joke Van de Velde (omg) / Virginie Claes (2010 - year of the behind) / Ilse De Meulemeester / Daisy Van Cauwenbergh.
Youtube serves over 2 billion views a day. This 12-year old boy performs an amazing Lady Gaga cover.

The choke 23:06
Groezrock 2010, still too disappointed by the STD cancellation to write a decent review. The festival area dust cloud was without a doubt bigger, thicker and unhealthier than the volcano ash cloud above Europe.
--- Traffic jams, corn field parking lots, lack of veg food, cold nights, germans/ollanders, dust yeti taking a bite out of my license plate, green tosi peppers
+++ pit_vs_festivalgevoel.gif, Bouncing Souls, Face To Face, 88 Fingers Louie, Defeater (despite the crappy sound), Bad Religion, Strike Anywhere.
Props to the AFI performance. The Millencolin setlist could have been a lot worse, still sounded uninspired. Wish I saw/heard more of Lit. The Zebrahead merch guy called me "buddy". I'm not a big Zoli/Ignite fan but Pennywise was awesome.
Picked up a Midtown & Gaslight Anthem CD + the new Defeater EP. No Tigers Jaw or Make Do And Mend stuff :-(
Speaking of TJ.
TIGERS JAW - CHEMICALS.
+ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM5AISq2qN8 (I Saw Water cover by a lesbian in a Floorpunch sweater). Excellent taste in covers: Jawbreaker, Lemuria, Rocky Votolato, NFG, Vanessa Carlton...
The new Far album - At Night We Live - will be released in a month.

Cheer 08:20
Mobile Vikings unleashes 3G to the masses today, about time.
A 3G coverage map: http://3gcoverage.net
KPN/Base/MobVik scores high in this independent network quality report: http://mobilevikings.com/media/downloads/Perception_Network_Quality_Final_Q3_2009_sam.pdf
Evening seminars about communication and computer security are awesome. Eyes and ears glued to the exposition of some crypto mastermind convincing a handful of techies (and their managers) of the false feeling of present-day security. Cheese sandwich/coke/coffee break.
Oh yeah, the Amazon, Microsoft, Salesforce and Google clouds are nothing compared to the Conficker botnet.
Ruiner - Valentine's Day American Nightmare tribute shirt.

I've stayed sad for such a long while
If you can cheer me up I could learn to love you"

If you're not feeling Jimmy Eat World, you're a fool.
Pain, love, loss, drugs, Wham/Firestarter covers,... it's all there.
And it's as sweet as it is wrecking.
Jimmy Eat World - Stay On My Side Tonight EP.
Disintegration / Over / Closer

Supermarkets are interesting in many ways. I agree there's a difference between the Aldi and the Delhaize crowd but in general supermarkets hold a small, average selection of our society.
Old, young, rich, poor, dirty, cute, ugly, smelly,... Pretty much every person-describing adjective can be matched to a supermarket visitor.
Here's a short list of things noticed, love and hated in supermarkets (I know):
- Lobsters. I have to make a stop at the lobster tank. Never in my life have I seen somebody buy lobsters in a supermarket. Sometimes I think they're not even real and are plastic fakes, part of an experiment fooling goons like me. Some of them have tiny bubbles rising for their mouths, some don't. Also, I wonder what company produces the shiny elastics wrapped around lobster claws. This seems rather difficult to strap these bands by a machine so there must be a guy doing nothing but that the entire day.
- Stereotyping fellow shoppers. I can't help but secretly staring into other people's shopping baskets and making up stories about their lives. I'm a supermarket profiler: serial killers, happy/crappy singles, millionaires... I'm onto you. Hello prejudice.
- People breathing in your neck, bumping their karreke on your heels, crawling nearly over you when checking out. BACK THE **** OFF!
- "Shit, I forgot my recyclable bag". Watch me stack groceries at the counter because I'm too stubborn to buy a new one.
- Pet food. I'm fascinated, especially cat food. Cat food model must be the most awesome pet job ever. I love the arrogant ones. Cute vs staring straight and not blinking.
- Checkout lanes. Somehow I always succeed in picking the slowest one. I gave up looking for a logical reason behind this phenomenon a while ago. Now I choose the line with the most attractive cashier. Might as well enjoy the wait.

This reminds me I never finished Cashback.
Moscow underground.
