Steel Wall Method

• Bands I still can't figure out though others seem to have no problem with at all:

- The Beach Boys: vocals?!
- Jawbreaker: can't understand why some label them as pop-punk, lyrics and vocal melodies are a mystery.
- Deftones: lyrics?! style?!
- Joy Division: uh?

• Saw The Get Up Kids yesterday at Groezrock.

I was pretty siked but had kinda low expectations. They proved me wrong with a way too short set!

The rumor of the band playing the entire "Something To Write Home About" album was false, although they kicked of with "Holiday". Kids would not have survived.
Buddies on my left, bunch of Spanish people a long way from home in front and 2 dudes with glasses hugging each other and singing along the entire set.
+ playing Mass Pike = awesome.

Spotted a lot of penus and vomit. Had some good laughs. NOFX = wow. Bummed about the lack of fanzines and Iron Age cds.
